El propio Johnson confirmó en su cuenta de Instagram que Black lo acompañará en la nueva versión del filme, en el que también dirá presente Kevin Hart.
Además, el protagonista de "El Rey Escorpión" confirmó que aún quedan dos grandes roles por revelar para la cinta, "una chica ruda y un chico semi-rudo", pero no adelantó sus nombres.
