Por la fecha 35 de la Premier League, el Leeds United de Marcelo Bielsa se hizo fuerte de local y derrotó por 3-1 al Tottenham.

Stuart Dallas abrió el marcador para los dueños de casa al minuto 13 con un potente remate en la boca del área. Sin embargo, los «Spurs» consiguieron la igualdad a los 25′ gracias a Son Heung-Min. Antes del fin de la primera fracción (42′), el goleador Patrick Bamford volvió a colocar al Leeds arriba en el marcador.

En la segunda mitad ambas escuadras intentaron llegar al gol, siendo el Leeds quien tuvo éxito al minuto 84, luego de una rápida salida la cual concluyó con la anotación de Rodrigo Moreno.

Con esta victoria, el Leeds llegó hasta la novena posición con 50 unidades, y no pierden la ilusión de meterse en alguna copa internacional. Además, logró un gran récord, puesto que como local no cayó en ningún partido frente al «Big Six» (Manchester City, Manchester United, Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool y Tottenham), con cinco empates y un triunfo. El próximo desafío de la escuadra dirigida por el «Rosarino» será como visitante ante el Burnley.

Por su parte, Tottenham se complicó en la parte alta y perdió terreno en su lucha por llegar a la Champions League. El siguiente partido de los «Spurs» será como local ante Wolves.
