Una nueva polémica con tintes racistas se registró durante esta jornada en el partido entre el Paris Saint Germain y el Istanbul Basaksehir por Champions League.
Futbolistas de ambos equipos acusaron al cuarto árbitro de emitir comentarios racistas en contra del asistente del conjunto turco Pierre Webo.
Esta situación despertó el enojo de jugadores como Kylian Mbappé y Neymar, siendo este último quien publicó una imagen acompañado del mensaje «Black Lives Matter».
El PSG confirmó mediante un comunicado que los minutos restantes se disputarán desde las 14:55 horas de este miércoles 9 de diciembre.
